The objective of the W3D project is to develop new principles and tools to create three-dimensional websites (structure and content) in order to improve the user experience.

Objective:

• W3D aims to increase the user experience by adding a dimension of depth to the web and by providing the Internet user with new visualization, manipulation and interaction techniques, without glasses or other expensive devices.

Solutions:

• This involves creating new interaction techniques between the user and the new generation website, in particular through work on tactile aspects and on mouse cursors: simulation of a controlled parallax effect by moving the cursor, better perception of depth and relief thanks to a 3D hand-cursor that evokes the notion of touch and force feedback.
